Tomorrow, Folks

There are fireworks going off tonight, celebrating the Fourth of July when it is in fact the (lower case) third of July. Why are we celebrating Independence Day on not Independence Day?

I do not understand.

  1. Crystal mentioned fireworks on the 3rd. She also said they played Let It Go but not God Bless the USA. I believe that is the first time in the history of the US that that song has *not* been played on Independence Day since it came out!

    I could see it if the 4th fell on a Sunday, or maybe even a Saturday, in UT, but I also do not understand this timing.
